Providing global support
Bespoke Handling has been established through a dedicated level of service and providing bespoke solutions to customers, handling specialist logistics and shipments of cars, spares and equipment to and from worldwide destinations - much of it in time-critical motorsport arenas, where there is no margin for error. Our reputation has been built on delivering results globally, and the safe and sympathetic handling of valuable cargo direct to our clients.
The dedicated team operates from offices in the UK, the Middle East and Europe, providing air, sea and road freight solutions, vehicle storage and detailing, and a full ATA Carnet and customs service supporting the temporary import and export of goods worldwide.

Gary Ayles
Managing Director
I have been involved in motor racing for most of my working life & am an active member of the BRDC. I have had a successful career in many formulas from single seaters in F3000, the BTCC Touring Car championship with Toyota & in sports cars with Ferrari, McLaren, Porsche & Chrysler including numerous outings at the Le Mans 24 hours.
Fabian Daffern
Operations Director
I have been managing and coordinating shipping and transporting of classic, vintage and racing cars and equipment around the world since 1990. I know just how important it is to have confidence that your car or valuables will arrive in perfect condition with no dramas en route. The service I provide is geared to your specific needs and I am here for you – 24/7, 365 days a year.
Mae Daffern
Air & Sea Freight Manager
I started at Bespoke Handling in 2022, and now work in the Air & Sea Freight department. Coming from the equestrian sector, my experience is quite different, but it's given me great organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
I've been interested in motorsport since childhood, and have a particular passion for Formula 1 and classic cars, that I've now combined with my work here. In my spare time, I love to walk my dog, Tilly, who is also the office mascot and our unofficial head of security.
Steven Butler
Air & Sea Freight Manager
I joined Bespoke Handling in 2025, and have been working in the freight industry for 30 years, varying from the small family run forwarding business to the big (DHL Industrial projects), and those inbetween over the years. I have worked in air, ocean and road freight operations shipping anything from the smallest of parcels to the largest industrial equipment, needing movement by an Antanov aircraft or ocean vessel charter.
Having worked on both sides of the fence, I understand the importance of good customer service, what it means to look after your customers and going the extra mile to deliver, no matter how small or large a shipment .
Simon Hill
Sales Manager
Passionate about motorsport since visiting Brands Hatch as an 8 year-old, I went on to race single seaters, sports and saloon cars for over 15 years, before moving into motorsport media and commentating for 10 years. I have worked alongside Gary previously, both running as race instructors at Brands Hatch, and most recently my focus has been helping my son, Jake, who won the 2024 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship.
My previous roles have included sales within the automotive and logistics industry, and now a role in sales is an opportunity to blend this experience with my passion for the wider automotive and motorsport industries, where I have built up a strong list of contacts in paddocks over the years.
Charlotte Godfrey
Sales & Office Manager - Bicester
I joined Bespoke Handling after years in the television industry, where my knowledge of managing ATA Carnets and arranging international travel is a natural fit to bringing new business on board. Over the years, I have built up a strong network of contacts, and I am looking forward to bringing these across to Bespoke Handling and developing them into new opportunities.
I have worked in television for over 20 years, and was a Production Manager on various motor programmes, including Fifth Gear. Through this experience, I have a strong understanding of the automotive industry, and the demands and pressures of working within a fast-paced environment.
I'm a sociable person at heart - I love meeting new people and building relationships.
Tracy Ayles
Roadfreight, Storage & Office Manager
I am responsible for the coordination of all roadfreight enquiries and vehicle storage, as well as the day-to-day management of the office. I have been part of the team at Bespoke Handling since 2016, which has grown to a dedicated fleet of enclosed trucks, multiple storage sites, and a busy team working to ensure everything is running smoothly. My previous experience of running pubs has definitely come in handy!
Andy Scott
Transport Manager
I joined Bespoke Handling in 2022 as a car transporter driver and quickly progressed to Transport Manager, drawing on a career that has spanned the military, private investigation, covert surveillance and HGV driving. Over the years I have worked across a variety of logistics roles, from low loader and tanker operations to the movement of prestigious vehicles across Europe, including a supercar tour of Iceland.
Today, I oversee the day-to-day running of our transportation operations, covering vehicle and driver compliance, quoting, routing, planning, customs processes and customer liaison. I hold a Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (2025) and remain committed to delivering the highest standards of service, ensuring every movement is handled with precision and care.
Kevin Elkin
Storage Manager
I've been part of the team at Bespoke Handling for 3 years, coming from a background in warehousing and sign work. In that time I've grown the storage side considerably, and I get to work with some truly exclusive cars and brilliant customers - several of whom have become good friends.
A genuine petrol head, I restored my first Beetle back in 1992 and still own a classic 1967 Beetle today. I treat every vehicle in our care as if it were my own, and nothing is too much trouble for our customers, whether that's valeting, paint correction, or the smaller jobs.
Vari Cameron
Head of Finance
I am a Chartered Accountant, and responsible for all things finance at Bespoke Handling, having worked in the logistics industry for over 20 years. I joined the team in 2019, from the role of Chief Financial Officer at global logistics specialists, DHL, after previously holding finance positions within the aviation and finance sectors.
Adam Morley
ATA Carnet Administrator
I joined Bespoke Handling at the turn of 2024, with a background in administration, and a keen eye for detail. Prior experience includes working across sales, events, recruitment and activities co-ordination, and I also have a Masters in Film Exhibition, and enjoy playing ice hockey.
I manage the production, distribution and coordindation of ATA Carnets, in-house, which are now required for all imports and exports from the UK, for vehicles, spares and kit. It is a complex process, but I work to try and simplify the process for clients, providing advice and support, so that everything is as straightforward as possible.
Poppy Colchester-Hall
ATA Carnet Administrator - Bicester
I joined Bespoke Handling as the ATA Carnet Administrator in 2026. I am based at our new Bicester office, which specialises in administrative and customs coordination.
I bring a strong background in administration and customer service within the automotive sector, and enjoy working closely with clients to build strong relationships. I take real pride in delivering excellent standards of service, and in making sure every process runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me out walking my two (slightly crazy) dogs, or settled in front of the ice hockey.
Andy Britnell
Regional Partner, UAE
I was an enthusiastic motorsport competitor for more than 35 years, starting on 2 wheels in Moto X before moving to 4 wheels participating in Porsche Carera Cup and various GT series including the Rolex Daytona 24 hrs in 2003 in a Mosler where our all British driver line up finished third.
Whilst my business life has been predominantly in the global construction sector, I have also worked in motorsport with Gary before, when we ran the official Lotus GT4 programme in British GT, between 2010-2012.
Gary and I latterly saw an opportunity in the Middle East, and formed BHV Logistic Services LLC in 2024, and we are now established in the region, with offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, servicing the wider Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
Whilst we will always have our roots in the motorsport and automotive sectors, we now find ourselves providing logistics services from fine art to the family pet!

Throughout my career, I've worked with multinational organizations across the UAE and India, leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and risk management.
My expertise extends to commercial finance, project financial controls, corporate governance, and strategic decision support. Recognized for my analytical mindset, integrity, and results-driven approach, I'm passionate about building strong financial frameworks that support sustainable business growth, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation.
