Storing anything should be done with care and attention. The more effort put in at the beginning, the better preserved it will be when it is taken back out. To help prepare and then maintain cars coming into storage, we now offer different options, ensuring your car is cared for, and in the best condition at every stage.
Our Pre-Storage Clean option is a top-down wash of your vehicle, designed to remove all surface contaminants, cleaning the wheels, glass, and vacuuming the interior. With the removal of any dirt from the paintwork, having the car fully cleaned and storage-prepared, it mitigates the risk of any scratches or damage being caused when a car cover is applied.
If you are leaving your car with us for longer periods of time, it is recommended that efforts are made to ensure it is kept mechanically fresh. While every effort is taken to ensure your car is protected while stored, so it is ready when you are ready, our Longer-Term Storage Maintenance Package adds further peace of mind.
Regular checks and maintenance, even when stored, will ensure your vehicle is ready to go whenever you are, and can help to mitigate against or identify any issues. Recommendation is for this is to be carried out at six monthly intervals, and it includes –
- Engine start up
- Disconnected from trickle charger and removed from storage
- Run up to temperature
- Fluids and pressures checked
- Maintenance wash and dried
- Returned to air chamber
- Reconnected to trickle charger
Beyond this, we can support and facilitate with further routine maintenance of your vehicle. With a record of when servicing or MOTs are due, we can liaise with your preferred dealership or workshop, arrange all logistics, and coordinate the works to be carried out on your behalf. The vehicle can then be collected and returned to storage, so it is ready to go.
